School History

Mahasarakham University Demonstration School (Elementary), originally named as The Primary Demonstration School of Mahasarakham University, was established by Professor Adul Viriyavetkul, Professor Emeritus, and approved by the Mahasarakham University Council on March 26th, 2004. The school also received the donation of some materials and equipment used in teaching activities by Professor Thaksin Swanon. The school is located in the total area of 17 Rai 3 Ngan

The school originally started on June 7, 2004 (2547 B.E.). There were 10 staff which can be divided into 5 teachers, 2 teacher assistants, 1 office staff, 3 janitors. There were 71 students from kindergarten 1-2 and Grade 1. The school held the first school orientation and parents meeting by Professor Adul Viriyakulkul on June 4, 2004. There are currently 792 students, including 219 primary students and 573 elementary school students, and 78 staff members.

During the 13 years of its operation, Mahasarakham University Demonstration School (Elementary) has continually developed its range of facilities, its equipment, and its teaching staff – both Thai and Foreign. There are numerous professional Acting Directors and Directors As listed below.

2. Prof. Dr. Preecha Pradee, Vice President for Academic and Research of Mahasarakham University (Acting Director Between June 25, 2009 – December 7, 2009)
3. Associate Professor Dr. Piyapan Santhaveesuk Vice President for Administration of Mahasarakham University (Acting Director Between December 7, 2009 – September 26, 2010)
4. Assistant Professor Dr. Maliwan Tanunporn (School Director) From September 27, 2010 – September 27, 2014)
5. Associate Professor Suracha Amornpan, (Acting School Director From September 27, 2014 – Present)
